biotics are awesome, but for my style of guns-blazing play, soldier fits me better. and those grenades are really useful.
EXCEPT, i have played as both soldier and vanguard on me3 multiplayer. vanguard definitely takes the lead in that venue.

2. Male or Female Shepard? Why?
female shepard all the way.
why? i’ll try to explain it. i know there is paragon and renegade and people can play shep however they want, but there is a “canon” shep, and that shepard feels more right as female. the person shepard is, the choices shep makes, the sacrifices…the feels more true as female.
but also, the story feels more poignant, feels deeper as female shepard. it becomes more important if shepard is a woman. it’s expected of a man to be a big damn hero, but it’s an extra step above if the big damn hero of the galaxy is a woman.
i could never really put into words just how femshep makes me feel, because it’s just so incredibly deep and personal for me.

mass effect 2.
i loved having a huge squad, even if i did only ever play with a handful of them, outside of their loyalty missions. i liked having loyalty missions, i loved unlocking their new outfits(i’m an outfit slut and having them all match satisfies my ocd so much[except for tali, because i prefer her purple outfit]).
i like that there is so much to do in 2, it feels more expansive than 1 or 3.
2 is also the first game i played in the series, so maybe it has a little bit of sentimentality for me.
read through all the dossiers after lair of the shadow broker
conclusion: everyone is ten times more adorable than previously thought.
